Life for boys at Timber Ridge is both rustic and demanding. Living quarters consist of large platform tents. Campers learn primitive wood crafting and outdoor living skills.

Campers engage in many group activities such as building projects and maintaining their campsites. Additional activities include hiking, canoeing, swimming, and other various outdoor activities.

The challenges created by these activities provide a foundation for the therapeutic interventions that make the Timber Ridge approach so successful.
